Our last web-meetup featured a presentation by an expert on the Brazilian economy and business opportunities between Brazil and Norway. If you missed it, the recording is now available!
In this session, we heard from Alessandra Ribeiro, Partner and Director of Macroeconomic and Industry Analysis at Tendências Consultoria (Brazil’s leading consultancy in economics and market research). Her presentation covered various topics, including the current global scenario, the Brazilian economy, the new Brazilian government, and the opportunities for businesses between Norway and Brazil, providing valuable insights.
Key takeaways:
- The potential for increased business opportunities between the two countries. Norwegian companies have opportunities to invest in Brazil’s infrastructure, due to the new regulatory frameworks and concessions models in Brazil, which have facilitated the entry of the private sector into the infrastructure business.
- The environmental agenda and energy are other areas of opportunity. Alessandra pointed out that the new Brazilian government has placed a priority on these two topics and there is potential for investment in these areas.
- The financial system, healthcare, and energy sectors were identified as areas where there has been growth in recent years, and where there is potential for further investment.
