EU ETS RULES  – TRADING CARBON MARKETS – DECARBONIZATION STRATEGY

Would you like to learn how to best trade your carbon credits ?

Stonex and BNCC in collaboration with BAHR invite you to this exclusive event with an introduction to carbon trading.

Join us in Oslo  for a focused session designed for companies impacted by the EU Emissions Trading System, EU ETS, and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, CBAM.

The event will explore the upcoming EU ETS market reform, an area that has recently attracted significant market speculation. We will also review developments in the carbon market so far in 2026, including the increased volatility that has shaped trading conditions and risk management strategies.

In addition, we will provide updates on CBAM and discuss the implications for companies with carbon exposure.

The centerpiece of the session will focus on practical approaches to managing this exposure. We will explore how companies can hedge their EU Allowance, EUA, and CBAM exposure. This will be followed by an interactive, discussion based exercise, where participants will review and discuss selected hedging scenarios and financial instruments used to manage carbon price risk in an evolving and increasingly volatile market environment.

This session will be particularly relevant for  businesses exposed to EU ETS and or CBAM risks. Shipping companies, Freight forwarders, importers & exporters, Aviation, Power & Heat Generation, Steel and iron production, Cement, Oil refining, Aluminium and metals, Pulp and papers and Chemicals and petrochemicals.

With the expected price of EUAs reaching over 100 EUR next year and 145 EUR by 2030, obligations under the EU ETS will become an even larger liability for corporations. Therefore, it is crucial for obligated entities to understand the different procurement and price risk management solutions available.” Two experts from StoneX will guide participants through this carbon trading tutorial, demonstrating how to effectively navigate and capitalize on this emerging market demand.
