Brasil-Norge FilmKlubb
Brazilian Cinema in Oslo

The Brasil-Norge FilmKlubb is the film club of the Brazilian-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (BNCC). We bring Brazilian cinema to audiences in Oslo from contemporary award-winners to the classics, shown the way film is meant to be experienced: on the big screen, with an audience, and in context. Every screening is an invitation to watch something remarkable and to meet the people who love it as much as you do.
About the Brasil-Norge FilmKlubb
“Filmklubb” is the Norwegian word for a film club a member-based society that screens films and creates a space to talk about them. As a registered member of Norsk Filmklubbforbund (the Norwegian Federation of Film Societies), the Brasil-Norge FilmKlubb is part of a national network of film clubs across Norway.
Our mission
We exist to promote film as an art form and as a window into Brazilian culture, history and society. Through carefully chosen screenings, introductions and conversations, we use cinema to strengthen the cultural ties between Brazil and Norway, one film at a time.
What to expect
How membership works
Brasil-Norge FilmKlubb is a benefit of individual BNCC membership. BNCC members are automatically FilmKlubb members too, and can book tickets at the member price.
Not a BNCC member? You’re still very welcome at our screenings. Tickets for non-members are 195,00 NOK, still well below a normal cinema ticket, because we want this to be something we can share with the wider community.
Not a member yet? Find out how to join our community here!
Who runs it
The FilmKlubb is a volunteer-led, non-profit initiative governed under BNCC’s Art Committee. It is driven by a passion for film and culture rather than profit, with any surplus going directly back into bringing more Brazilian cinema to Oslo.
