Sigurd Jørgensen
Sigurd Jørgensen is Director, Public Affairs, External Communications & Marketing at Yara Industrial Solutions, the business unit of Yara International that develops and markets nitrogen-based solutions and services for sectors critical to a resilient and functioning society. Part of Yara International, one of the world’s leading ammonia producers, Yara Industrial Solutions serves industries ranging from emissions reduction and clean air applications to mining, infrastructure and industrial manufacturing. Founded in 1905, Yara has grown into the industry’s only global crop nutrition and nitrogen applications company, with a mission to responsibly feed the world and protect the planet.
Sigurd has more than 30 years of international experience in sales and marketing, branding, communications and public affairs. Before joining Yara in 2014, he held a range of senior leadership positions in the chemicals sector, including Group Director, Vice President and Managing Director roles within Kemetyl. Earlier in his career, he worked for Shell in Oslo and London and was one of our directors who founded automotive chemicals company Carix Group through a management buyout backed by 3i.
A native of Norway, Sigurd holds a BA (First Class Honours) in Marketing from Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow, Scotland.
