Denofa
Denofa’s activity has been based at Øra, Fredrikstad since 1912. In December 2019, Denofa acquired additional 40 000 m2 of industrial site, including 500 m deep water port. Moreover, we established Commercial Port Fredrikstad, aiming to strengthen Fredrikstad’s position and industrial developments at Øra. The Nordic market sources a significant proportion of traceable, certified and responsibly produced soy. This is partly due to requirements for non-GMO commodities. The Norwegian import of soy beans, soy meal and protein concentrate conducts only 0,2% of global soy production, but in the past years, Norway has sourced between 12-17% of sustainability-certified produce. In our efforts to raise the bar even further, European collaboration and the Amsterdam Declaration is key.
