Electricity is inextricably linked to the way we live, work, and develop as a society. At the same time, the biggest source of electricity – a fossil fuel – is also what threatens our planet. Energy consumption and production represent 75 percent of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. More than 80 percent of our energy is still dependent on fossil fuels.
