Vegard Haugen
As part of the AMAGGI Group, Denofa is one of the few Brazilian-owned Norwegian companies. This unique bond has been key to establishing a 100% traceable, deforestation-free value chain for Brazilian-produced, non-GMO soybeans over the last 20 years.
Moreover, the close cooperation paved the way for a willingness to pay a premium for sustainably sourced Brazilian soy in the Nordic market. Communication and public relations remain important tasks this this respect. Vegard holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and worked as a tech journalist before moving on to communications and PR. He joined the BNCC board in 2024.
